Commercial Surfacing & Repairs

Reliable & Cost Effective Car Park Resurfacing & Repairs Kent

A tired car park usually fails from the bottom up: water gets in through cracks, the base softens under traffic and potholes follow. We survey the surface and the base before pricing, then recommend the right fix, from patch repairs and levelling to planing off the old surface and laying a new one.

New surfaces are laid in tarmac or asphalt over a properly compacted base, with falls taken to gullies or channels so rain runs off instead of sitting in the bays. If the car park has to stay open, we work in sections so customers and staff can still park.

Car Park Surfacing

Trusted & Recommended Line Marking & Bay Painting Experts Kent

Clear markings keep traffic moving and make the most of the spaces you have. Once a new surface is down, we set out the bays and lines to suit your layout, and we can also refresh worn markings on an existing car park.

Markings go onto a clean, dry surface so they bond properly and stay readable through wet winters and heavy use.

How the Job Runs

Your Car Park Surfacing Step by Step

  1. Survey the Car Park

We check the surface, the base and where water collects, and talk through how the car park is used day to day.

  2. Agree the Scope & Phasing

Your written quote sets out repairs or resurfacing, the markings and which sections close when.

  3. Prepare & Resurface

Failed areas are dug out and rebuilt, the old surface is planed where needed and the new tarmac is laid and rolled.

  4. Mark Out & Reopen

Bays and lines are set out to your layout, the site is swept and each section is handed back for use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Car Park Surfacing: Your Questions Answered

Can our car park stay open while it is resurfaced?

In most cases, yes. We split the car park into sections and work through them in turn, so some spaces are always available. The order is agreed with you before work starts.

Should we repair the car park or resurface it?

If the damage is limited to a few areas and the base is sound elsewhere, patch repairs are usually the better value. Where cracking and potholes are spread across the whole surface, resurfacing tends to cost less than repeated repairs. The survey shows which applies.

Can you re-mark an existing car park without resurfacing?

Yes. Worn lines can be renewed on a sound surface, and the layout can be changed at the same time if you need more bays, disabled spaces or EV charging bays.

Can you fix drainage problems in our car park?

Yes. Standing water usually means the falls or the drainage have failed. We can regrade the surface, add channels or gullies and repair the drainage before resurfacing.

Do you mark out bays and lines?

Yes. Bays, disabled spaces, arrows and hatching can be marked out once the surface is laid, or re-marked on an existing surface that is still sound.
