Commercial Surfacing & Repairs

Affordable & Effective Tarmac Resurfacing Experts Kent

Roads carry a heavier and more constant load than almost any other surface, so the specification matters. We look at the condition of the base, the traffic the road carries and how water leaves it before recommending an overlay, a planed inlay or full reconstruction.

Planing removes the worn surface so the new layer finishes at the right level against kerbs, gullies and ironwork. Where the base is sound and levels allow, an overlay can be the more economical choice.

  • Planing and inlay resurfacing
  • Overlays on sound bases
  • Tar and chip surface dressing
  • Private, farm and estate roads
  • Industrial estates, business parks and retail parks
  • Footpaths and cycle paths

Road Surfacing

Reliable & Recommended Resurfacing & Repairs Kent

We have worked on behalf of Kent County Council and utility companies, and we are registered with the Street Works Qualifications Register (SWQR). For private clients, that means a crew used to signing, guarding and phasing a road so residents and businesses keep their access.

Larger roads are programmed in sections, with access to properties agreed in advance. Your written quote sets out the scope and the phasing, so everyone knows what is happening before the planer arrives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Road Surfacing: Your Questions Answered

What is the difference between an overlay and an inlay?

An overlay is a new surface laid over the existing one, which raises the level. An inlay planes the old surface off first, so the new layer finishes at the same level against kerbs, drains and driveway entrances.

Do you carry out tar and chip surface dressing?

Yes. Surface dressing seals a sound road and restores grip, and suits rural and private roads where a full resurfacing is not yet needed.

Will residents keep access while the road is resurfaced?

We work in sections and agree access to each property in advance. Where a short closure of an entrance is unavoidable, residents are told beforehand.

Do you surface private and estate roads?

Yes. We resurface private roads, estate roads and access roads for residents’ groups, management companies and businesses, as well as commercial sites.

How do you know whether a road needs resurfacing or repair?

We look at how widespread the cracking, potholes and failed patches are. Isolated damage can be patched, but where the surface is failing across the road, resurfacing is usually better value.
