Haywards Heath Tarmac Driveways

Tarmac makes a smooth, dark, hard-wearing drive that copes well with daily car use, and in Haywards Heath it remains one of the most requested driveway surfaces. The result depends on preparation: we excavate to a solid formation, lay and compact a Type 1 sub-base, fit edge restraints, then lay a binder course and a wearing course while hot so the layers bond.

Levels are set so rainwater falls away from your house to a drain, soakaway or planted area, and the surface is rolled until it is dense and even. A block paved or granite sett border can be added to frame the drive.

Quality in tarmac comes from temperature and compaction. The material arrives hot, is spread to an even depth and is rolled before it cools, giving a dense surface that stands up to water and frost.

Edges are restrained so the drive does not crumble at the sides, a common weak point on tarmac drives. Our Trading Standards Buy With Confidence approval also gives Haywards Heath homeowners an independent check before choosing a contractor.
